| Grey Matters will air on dec10 on Fox, and it will be the last episode for Nimoy. - Quote :
- "The character of William Bell is described as a very wealthy and very intelligent and brilliant scientist," Nimoy said. "It was great fun to stand in front of the camera and say, 'I'm William Bell. Here I am.'" I enjoyed it. I committed to do three episodes. I have filmed the three - two of them have already aired. One will be on the air in the near future. We'll see a little bit more of William Bell and after that there is no more committment."
according to TV Guide, - Quote :
- His third and perhaps final appearance will air in the December 10 episode, "Grey Matters," as yet another flashback—but this time to a different setting.

| There's already a thread created for this episode.
I merged the two topics.

| It looks like Peter is looking inside that woman's head!
ETA: I often have trouble finding threads as well in the spoilers/episodes section, and have made some repeat posts too.

| Is it a theta-wave type device? And doesn't he look like a Renaissance painting in that shot? (Like a Tintoretto self portrait, I think?? ) | |

| Press release
DR. WALTER BISHOP’S BRAININESS TAKES ON NEW MEANING AND WILLIAM BELL RETURNS ON AN ALL-NEW “FRINGE” THURSDAY, DECEMBER 10, ON FOX
A Fringe investigation is triggered when a patient at a mental institution undergoes an impromptu brain surgery that unexpectedly leaves his brain exposed. Despite the unthinkable circumstances, the patient’s condition and sanity miraculously improves before the Fringe team arrives. While Agent Dunham and Peter scan surveillance tapes (and Walter enjoys his pudding), Olivia recognizes a familiar face as Thomas Jerome Newton (guest star Sebastian Roche), the leader of the “shape-shifters.” As similar cases stack up, the Fringe team heads back to the lab to determine exactly how patients are being cured. Walter’s brains are put to the test and William Bell (guest star Leonard Nimoy) resurfaces in the all-new “Grey Matters” episode of FRINGE airing Thursday, Dec. 10 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (FR-210) (TV-14 L, V)
Cast: Anna Torv as Olivia Dunham; Joshua Jackson as Peter Bishop; John Noble as Walter Bishop; Lance Reddick as Phillip Broyles; Kirk Acevedo as Charlie Francis; Blair Brown as Nina Sharp; Jasika Nicole as Astrid Farnsworth
Guest Cast: Leonard Nimoy as William Bell; Sebastian Roche as Thomas Jerome Newton; Roger Cross as Smith.

| Thanks!
*purses mouth* .......still no word on Peter finding out where he came from........
They'd really make us wait a month. Ugh, maybe they're waiting until the Feb. 4th hiatus to pull that out. Where's my crystal ball when I need it?

| Are they seriously going to make us wait until February? They are! Now I am getting cranky. Mr. Getting His Head Back better be darn interesting. I am beginning to think BR is just blowing us off with the Peter issues. | |

I fear you're not just getting cranky, Elliot, I fear you're right about Bad Robot blowing us off about the Peter issue. Unless they KNOW they're getting renewed, although the ratings still put them very much in jeopardy for cancellation. As my coworker said, Something Needs to Actually Happen, instead of doing episode after episode of presenting a new question and not giving any answers. *Cathy now feels guilty for criticism and goes stand in the Bad Corner*

*Cathy now feels guilty for criticism and goes stand in the Bad Corner* they promised the Peter issue will be answered in s2 and John Noble said that it won't be no earlier than the second half of the season....... i'm afraid it won't be enough if BR wants viewers to get back to watching the show. they will have to show some skin / muscle (figure of speech, i don't mean actually putting Olivia back in the tank or even Peter --dream on ) if they want to keep their fanbase and gain new viewers.

| I hope Jeff Pinkner is getting feedback about this, this is from his most ardent fans. Thanks about the heads up about John Noble saying it won't be addressed until the second half of the season. Grrrr. I know they say they work very long hours, the scripts DO demonstrate that. They have a lot of substance to the scenes. But we need something to HAPPEN now, not just another Pattern mystery to put in the ever-growing file of unanswered phenomenon. Oh well, I'll still be watching like a fangirl tomorrow night (Dec. 3rd) and cheering on the science fiction. | |

| Evidently I'm in the Bad Corner with Cathy, because I am increasingly disappointed in BR's treatment.... hinting and hinting and hinting and never getting to the point... fish or cut bait, guys! Pattern, pattern, pattern, oh, forget it.
And nobody is more ardent a Peter fan than I am--but if they never let him be who they say he is, how long will we care? Hold the cookie jar out of reach long enough, you lose interest in it.
I think one of the big problems is that the writing & producing staff is all men.. they forget that half the possible audience does not care if Olivia has clothes on or not, is not in the least excited seeing her kiss a stripper... unless it's Peter!
We'd love to see Peter in his skivvies again...how about some fanservice for the female viewers? And after seeing them flirt at first--even in the pilot, and later as well...hello! Some more flirting would be much appreciated.

If someone hold the cookie jar out of reach, go for the custard on the table. When this someone will run for the custard, take the cookie jar. Mmmh... cookies.

| I doubt BR is enough into iconography to have only made it a comment on Peter being a man of ...appetites..., and since it's constant, I think they have a purpose with it. I just hope they let us in it before the end of the show. All kinds of secret in jokes they are planning on letting us know about later won't do us any good if the show goes off the air before they film them or we see them. | |
