| As Lez said, many people know the story, if they don't have seen the movie (It was re-aired a few times but ate at night quite everytime) but the beginning of the 90's we had a cartoon (japanese one) on the 5 channel . I use to see it because my mother keep in charge my young nephew ... the one who is now studying in States (oups I feel old suddenly ) and he watched it after kidgarden (école maternelle we call it in France) ... I think a lot of people could make the link between Cowardy Lion and wizard of Oz | |

Indeed, the few times it aired, it was late, children were sleeping... Plus an old american movie, with some quite disturbing dubbing..... I remember the cartoon, but never got into it. I learned the story by watching a re-run of the TV Show "Fame", there was an episode where one of the student was living the same experience, and, of course, singing the same songs ! Most people would tell you the lion is from the Wizard of Oz, but I think that, due to the number of people who haven't seen this movie, I bet you that the translators will add "from the wizard of Oz" to Walter's line, to complete it. | |

| Oh, a cartoon version would be fun! Are the munchkins less icky than in the film? I was never scared of the flying monkeys but I hated the munchkins' voices. | |

| Did anybody ever figure out what "Johari Window" meant? Edina City Limits was obvious. | |

| It's referring to one's perception of his/herself, and the layers of perception by others... it's a personality-assessment tool--for mapping personality awareness; used often in business training to help groups work together; Lez and I talked about this last summer, over at the old place... it seems to me that BR might have read that discussion! She said she was doing the assessment, I asked about it, she may have posted a graphic then, I don't remember, that was in another life. - Quote :
Developed by Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham (the word "Johari" comes from Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham), there are two key ideas behind the tool:
- That individuals can build trust between
themselves by disclosing information about themselves; and
- That they can learn about themselves
and come to terms with personal issues with the help of feedback from others.
By explaining the idea of the Johari Window to your team, you can help team members understand the value of self-disclosure, and gently encourage people to give and accept feedback. Done sensitively, this can help people build more-trusting relationships with one another, solve issues and work more effectively as a team. more here - Quote :
- johari window four regions
- what is known by the person about him/herself and is also known by
others - open area, open self, free area, free self, or 'the arena'
- what is unknown by the person about him/herself but which others know
- blind area, blind self, or 'blindspot'
- what the person knows about him/herself that others do not know -
hidden area, hidden self, avoided area, avoided self or 'facade'
- what is unknown by the person about him/herself and is also unknown
by others - unknown area or unknown self
from this site Joseph Luft Harry Ingraham, the names of the inventors. ---all ties so neatly into the discoveries Our Three are making about themselves, and now especially into Peter's coming discoveries.

| No, they cut it... she refers to it when she and Peter talk about their job making them less and less normal (his crack about women with guns), made room for some other footage. (I read yesterday ari graynor kvetching about not getting her version of 'head over heels' on the air, it being Walter singing it--they punked her in brown betty same as blair brown) | |

| That scene was just meant as a setup for the car scene, I'd rather see other stuff, more of what goes on in the woods for example. | |
