No doors should be totally closed in the finale. It is Fringe,
after all, and anything is possible. "There are certain things that I
think happen that I wouldn't want to talk about that might resolve
certain stories,
but for the most part I think the fun about Fringe—which
I think some episodes that are coming up this season and certainly the
ending take advantage of—is that sort of unlimited possibility. Not to
say there aren't rules and things that are happening that have to be
abided by, but the fun of this show that's specific to Fringe
is the fact that we can go to certain places and do certain things that
you couldn't normally do on a show and not have it be 'The Wacky
Episode.' Every episode is a little bit the wacky episode."
So, what are they referring to here, do you suppose? I like surprises, but I hate cryptic comments!

The first thing that hit me. I saw "doors", and thought..... is that a double meaning sentence ?

Maybe the door will stay open for several episodes, leading to some even weirder cases ?
Or not letting the door closed to let Peter come back here, if he had to go over there to stop the world from ending ?

And, of course, not to end the series here. THIRD SEASON.

Abrams said, no matter what, the last show of the season will not be the last show we see. Even if the unmentionable were to happen, which doesn't seem like it will because FOX likes the 18-49 demo on Thursdays, Abrams would come up with something, like a movie or a special. But, I'm with you, Third Season!

I think all three things! I'm becoming more sure they will have Peter over there 'by himself'-- with hinting he's become a 'bad guy', as one of the cliff hanger things. My guess on that-- confusion on the part of the confused FBI, or double agent like Robert.

But we all know nothing will stop Walter from getting him back..there's nothing he wouldn't do...

And I am certain there will be a third season.
