The coin, reflection and Broyles' alliance.

Hi! Nice to have the episode to discuss right off the bat,

How funny to have 4 "10" ratings, everyone was pleased!

The 'red' beginning, coming from the other side, glad to see "First People" piqued some interest.

Olivianate also had soft red hair, along with the bangs. I wonder what the tattoo means, on her neck and her boyfriend's back. When "The Fringe Team" first arrived on the scene at that gorgeous theatre, we saw the man whose father was a jurist, and Mr. Cathy said, "Look, there's Peter on the Other Side", (his equivalent)

John Noble has such great hair! I don't notice it as Walter with it everywhere, but as the Secretary, it's all coifed and stands up very well!

So.......Dad raised son to sacrifice him as part of a prophesy (old copy of sheet the Observer laid on the bar stool by Olivia?), I hope Mom interferes with that....

And *let me get his name* when Lincoln is burned to a crisp, it will only be some time in the nanobyte chamber and he'll grow new skin. Great technology! I also love the images of the dirigibles over the skyline.

Sad about Nick Lane, coming back, found a love interest, only to die Over There. Oh well, nice to see he was well adjusted at the end.

You imagine if Frigne had this here ? John wouldn't have died.
AHEM.

Tattoos are weird, yes.

There were a lot of "Exit" signs. I don't know if it means something. Some of them :

Yay, many nice caps, Kreisler and Lez !

My turn, quickly, because I have to leave (damned, so many things to notice ! )

Is it a glyph ? scratch

RYB grins

Stage as world and world as stage, and set as stage, and a world inside another one... etc
Mise en abîme (self-reflection ? scratch ) again !

Nitpick !! A bad link shot in this scene. Did you see ?

Another observation:

Peter wakes up after 3 days, while walternate was already in good form. Why?
I seriously think that they were injecting Peter a different substance while he was unconscious.

Kreisler, surely a Lot of Anything means something in "Fringe"-world. I guess, for the team it's finding a safe exit. Olivia's lost her three teammates, I can only assume somehow Peter will be augmented (or finally 'awakened') by that device Mr. Secretary took from the room containing the spherical machine to help them have enough 'power' get back to this universe safely and unharmed.

Yes, Mr. Cathy had quite a laugh over Philip Broyles' face finally unfreezing, almost two years after we met him!

That is one of the best scene of all time.

After rewatching, it looks as if Walternate -when he enters the device chamber and looks at the manuscrit- was wondering if it was a good idea.

I wish in the end they could all live in peace, and joined their forces against something even evil-er.
I disagree, he seems very set on what he is doing. I know you want him to be good and nice, but I don't see it.

And while it would be nice for all to live in peace, I don't think the writers would have written up a war if they intended all to end well for everyone.

And I know you know the Eiffel Tower far better than I do, but that looks like an ornament over the doorway on the front of a stone building-----or what are the grid lines?

I agree. Especially since W'nate is lying it seems to everyone about everything. He has bad plans up his sleeve for Peter.

Of course, it can't be, I just said i was hoping.

They had the project to make those big phone poles look better, to disguise it as an Eiffel Tower. Like they do with fake trees, fake gargouilles...
And for this project, it needed cables linking the tower to the ground.

Plus, we're over there. it may not be the Eiffel Tower we know.

I think the shots of Alt-Liv with Not John at All were to show Olivia that John wasn't "the one" for her, in either universe. A sort of deus ex machina, usually I hate these, but if they forward the Benchwarmers, I'll turn a blind eye.

And yes! She will need Peter for the three of them to get back safely. I'm thinking maybe she and Peter and Walter will be on the run, in hiding, over the summer, waiting for Astrid and Broyles (and Nina and Brandon?) to come fetch them??

I think Peter is the power source for that infernal machine, and he will finally figure that out from reading the blueprints. And talking to Bell.

They never tried.

They wanted this because the Eiffel tower has already been used -and still used- as a radio antenna. And at the beginning, there were cables.

Excellent observation, Jade. Please let that be cortexiphan in the bags, I've been waiting for our younger Bishop to Wake Up! *hands clasp in a plea*

Peter shirtless didn't really register with me, I was too busy checking out the lasers and the IV bag, same with Olivia and her boyfriend, I was busier with the tattoos and looking for clues than reacting to the partial nudity. Is it me, or is it ya'll?

Elliot and Lez, your page one reviews were excellent! I know I used to
do more elaborate feedback, but somehow digesting it overnight instead of attacking the keyboard immediately after the show is over reduces my Grand Opinion. *Thinks, I should email it to myself at work, then post it the next morning......Maybe I'll try that next week*

I AM turning into a bit of a Brandon fangirl, I think he's lost some weight. LOVED his demonstration with the cup, and what happened.

Yes, it would certainly be nice if the universes could "blend", but where would the line be drawn? I've never been a fan of "There can be only one universe", it's so, so, Darwin and Natural Selection, and Only the Strong Survive. I fear Peter's mother has tragedy written all over her. I'd be saying, "Peter! Look up from those plans, we've got 20 years to catch up on!" But, of course, that's going to add to the poignancy if they run out of time together.
