| nice catch! reeaalllly OldTech. That typewriter is from the 30's or so... maybe older. We have one in the basement, I'll look at it. love this; gggr, ryb, bw, all in one tidy chunk! so Peter brought that back from the sherriff's office for Walter, eh? Cool. Nice OldTech phone... wonder about the color.. so, the apple glyph is for Peter, and the seahorse is for his grandfather.... yes, what about that bw/die...? Chance? Fate? Both together? Gotta love Markham's low-tech! Plus g/r. | |

so, the apple glyph is for Peter, and the seahorse is for his grandfather.... I thought the same ! They're putting those little things linked to stars, sun planets... worlds. The phone ! And the rats were black and white... BW. The apple is not really what I saw the first, i should have made a better screencap.... it's a snowglobe, in the background. Like the ones Nina had taken for the little "colliding worlds" explaination.

| Oh, yes, I would love the screen cap! There was a snowglobe in ....ack, early this season, Dream Logic... at the woman's house. And one, I think, on Peter's dresser in the other world.
?Encapsulated worlds? Just, Other Worlds, maybe.

| Yes, it reminds me of... Men in Black.
During the whole episode, goodies and baddies are looking for a "universe", which is the size of a marble. And at the end, you see an alien -certainly a kid-, playing with our universe marble and others, and put them all into a bag.... I loved that ending.
I love this idea of us being so small, and mise en abyme of universes.

Depends on what he means by "using drugs"..... like alcohol.... or more like cocaine, ... ?

| Clearly he could have sold Walter's furniture if he needed money, as Olivia points out. And just as clearly, neither books nor furniture would have satisfied Big Eddie's debt.
Peter is not the sort of guy to go in debt to buy drugs-----he taught chem at college for cry-yi. He'd have made whatever he wanted, same as his father.
And he's not the kind of pathetic mess of a man who gets lost in drugs that way, either. He might go on a bender and do something awful, but then he'd sober up and get back to surviving.
And any road, the book sales weren't about money. They were about hurting Walter.

| Indeed. And Olivia knew it. Everybody could have guessed it wasn't for money. - Stephy wrote:

| Does this mean he has an exit door -the door to the other universe- next to him, and he will come to a choice where he has to run or stay ? | |

| Don't you think that is exactly what they are saying? I know what he will choose, and I just hope they don't drag THAT out forever. | |

| Fringe's Killer Biological Weapon is Rooted in Fact - Quote :
- In Jan. 29's episode, "The Bishop Revival," the cast of Fringe encounters its most plausible case yet. We talk to toxin expert professor Dale Johnson of UC Berkley's Nutritional Science and Toxicology program to determine if a chemical weapon can be designed to target those with specific genetic traits.

Peter could have sold the beach house. That probably would have satisfied the debt.

| He went to Iraq to be a mercenary and arms dealer to clear his debts, instead of selling his childhood home. He's about doing things for himself, same as Olivia is.
-->How cool was it that he wouldn't tell Walter that now, and that he just took Walter's venom over it. Doesn't want to hurt him now. Nice writing there, isn't it?

- For a minute there, I thought Peter was going to lay a big wet one on
Olivia, during their little talk about her not telling her sister what was going on: "I thought that was the point of having people who care about you in your life," he said. "To have someone to talk to when you're scared." In my head, they kissed at that point.
