Oh, and one other funny/odd: my facebook account has gotten --corrupted or something, I don't know, it's been garbled for a while now and I've quit using it--.. but today I got a message on it, and the message was in English, but now the interface for me is French, no matter what I do. So, evidently I've got a wormhole into the French universe there.

FRINGE: Peter (Joshua Jackson) searches for clues about his past in the FRINGE episode "Northwest Passage" airing Thursday, May 6 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
FRINGE: Out on his own, Peter (Joshua Jackson, R) helps Sheriff Anne Mathis (guest star Martha Plimpton, L) with a disturbing case in the FRINGE episode "Northwest Passage".
FRINGE: Olivia (Anna Torv) tries to track down Peter in the FRINGE episode "Northwest Passage".
FRINGE: Walter (John Noble, R) longs to find Peter in the FRINGE episode "Northwest Passage". Also pictured: Jasika Nicole (L)
FRINGE: Broyles (Lance Reddick) tries to track down Peter in the FRINGE episode "Northwest Passage".
So, does our one-man Fringe Div just seem like the kind of man a sherriff would ask for help on a serial killer case, at random, at a coffee shop? Does he find something odd he understands and they don't? Do they call Broyles for a check on Peter's credentials? And how cool is it that he's still helping, even if he is on the lam?!?

Everyone is after Peter.
And so am I.....

Or maybe you can cross safely if you cross with him? Walter's not sick, he came back.
Much as I love Peter, I so don't want this to be metaphysical or super-power stuff. I want there to be a (admittedly Fringey-sciencey) reason beyond that.

I think there's something special in Peter's blood.... Cortexifan? I've a theory....What if in the alternate universe Walternate (probably a man without scruples) experimented the cortexifan only on his son Peternate and not the other children like olivia, nick lane ecc.... We know that they were tested by Walter and Bell before the famous kidnapping, and they were drilled for a war threat that already existed.....maybe. So, Peternate is a sort of supersoldier, like Olivia, but he is supposed to fight for the alter world and his kidnapping caused this war permanently. This could explain the weird connection between Peter and Olivia and why Peter is able to activate Olivia's abilities....Peter is the cortexifan in person!
Am i crazy?

There must be something in the cortexiphan that comes from him, yes, I think that's been obvious from the beginning, don't you? And perhaps Walternate did only experiment at first on Peter......... I do wonder what was the first thing that happened... if Walter opened the door to save Peter, after OP died, and the war is a response to devastation over there, things flow from that in one kind of logic.
But--if as you suggest, Walternate had experimented on Peter that would be before he was taken, before OP died, before the door was opened. What is the date on the manifesto, I wonder? The J-ville experiments were done when Olivia was what 3, 4 years old? So Peter would have been 4-5 (isn't he a year older than she?)-----but at least, well before he died. Prepping for super soldiers began well before Peter was brought here. So whatever started the war was before that.
Wait.
The boys were sick from the beginning of their lives, it was genetic. The cortexiphan could have been Walternate's attempt to cure Peter, and changed him in some way? Genetic manipulation on him in utero, as with the mole baby?
For Walter and William to use Peter's specialness, they had to know it existed--he must have exhibited something different right away...

Yes, I agree with things being too much like Olivia's story being off-putting.
How about this? Maybe crossing when young made changes at the cellular level to him? Still developing brain, and all? Would work scientifically (radiation for example and chemicals do that sort of thing) and make him different but not in that annoying magical way. Could also explain why the adults were not made special in crossing.
It would give him something similar to Olivia to bond over (both experimented on and both changed) but not make him a god-figure, I detest the idea of either of them being that.
