I don't think any rift is meant to be permanent, so while it will be hard for them, and hard for us to witness.... BR talk of their relationship as developing. As something they want to happen.

For once, tv writers have gotten smart enough to see that it's ok to have a positive outcome, and are working towards it----------however agonizingly slowly.

I mean, c'mon, an almost kiss.......hard to wait for them to finally kiss uninterrupted.

but on the other hand, they are grow-ups. it's not a meaningless fling. are we back to the victorian era or what?

I swear I posted it with the "Almost Kiss" scene on the Off Topic thread. It was dated yesterday and has HJ Wyman, hair sticking straight up and Jeff Pinkner sporting the 2-day old beard, talking about Olivia balancing between an ordinary but talented woman vs. the Superwoman some fans aren't thrilled about. I can't access YouTube from work, but I'll try to do it again tonight. It's 4 minutes long, and if someone else finds it first to post I won't mind a bit.

Right! It's not like the audience would have fainted out of outraged innocence---the audience would have maybe fainted out of ecstasy.

Plus----at a time when they need viewers and ratings, some really warm, grown up romantic behavior from those two gorgeous creatures together...

Even if Peter doesn't think Olivia is complicit, depending on the amount of time it takes now for Peter to find out, their P/O kiss is going to take a back seat to Peter discovering His Origin.

"You Already Knew?" Ugh, I watched too many soap operas when I was a kid.

I can only hope we get this Origin Reaction over with by the end of the season.

Wyman says how she and Walter decide to deal with hiding it is a great episode, I hope that what they do is truly unexpected (read: not soap-opera).

And that they do it, and get on with things. Both with the romance (a given!) and with the universes colliding thing.

When Olivia realizes Peter hasn't changed, just her perception of him, and that once he knows, they can prodeed on the same page again, she will know she must tell him. And they will make a new, wild, beginning.

I'm trying to visualize that new wild beginning...surely at least there will be spoilers of that in May, to get us to dream of that over the summer. Maybe our mass unconscious can draw BR in......

I try to imagine how it could be...... all I see is a date, then a bottle of whiskey, cardtricks, strip poker......

I think we need to see Peter's room on the third floor of that house... I'm sure it has an outside stair... in the fanfic I am writing, it does.
