In the first clip, who's the little boy? Peter?

I don't think so...
Scenemaker:
You know, I hope they have Olivia smack Fakey around soon; it's creeping me out that Fakey is such a bitch to her, and she just takes it. Being an arrogant skank is nothing to be proud of, and nothing for Olivia to quail in front of, but they have her being that way...........even more than she was before.
New theory#57: maybe the way Peter potentiates Olivia's powers included self-assurance, and without him, not only does she get her ass kicked by transparent bad guys, she just lets Fakey badmouth her.
HAH! Fakey's had 5 years and not solved the case-----she's way less smart than Olivia, too!

I like that idea and i liked that Olivia didn't feel good in her skin (i know, it's not the good word but she's so "turned-in"...), that there is frustration in her. I hope it's the sign that something is missing in her life (the "hole in my life", and not only the J.Scott thing). The "Peter-effect" will be far more remarkable !

I'm not a fan of the snarling between Olivia and Bolivia.
Broyles is at least attempting to make it seem like the two sides are working together.
It's really unprofessional. And it's my favorite character, Olivia, who's taking the first shot when they get alone. Both scenes I'v e seen with Olivia vs. Bolivia, it's Olivia who starts talking trash. *shakes head*
I can understand showing how something's lacking with Peter gone. Everyone's indicating Peter comes back in the 4th episode. It can't happen too quickly for me, if that's what it takes to get the universe back on the right track.
Hi, Kriesler!

Hi, Kreisler!
That's good-- uncomfortable in her skin. And probably Fakey is nasty for the same reason, just over compensates. But I feel bad having the writers have Fakey dish it out, and Olivia take it. (She makes normal enough complaints about Fakey's work/trustworthiness--after being kidnapped by her!)------but Fakey badmouths Olivia as a human. I'm not a guy, or gay, so I can't tell if that smugness is supposed to be sexy, but it seems tacky to me.
I want Olivia to not feel inferior to Fakey, cause she's not. :(
And whoo! I want to see her really bloom again, with him returning. Remembering how it is to feel whole and loved and safe and strong.

I think they're setting it up to be a big deal. Take heart! I'm sure it will be dramatic.

I hope so. I like the happy, confident, bouncy Olivia, who's not afraid of her own shadow. That scene where the transparent guy knocked her down and choked her and nearly killed her was hard to watch. Olivia-with-Peter would have made kindling out of him.
And yes, now that you mention it, I'd like it to be rather grand for them to re-connect.

Question: I totally loved the Fringe premiere. Will the brief flashes of Peter Bishop in the background continue? —Justin
Ausiello: My eyes aren’t so good as I get on in the years, but I don’t recall seeing Peter flickering around in Episode 2. But he does make his presence known in a different, rather maddening way. Also, dare I tease, you might even hear Astrid make reference to him in front of Olivia.

Is there no hope for Peter and Olivia on Fringe? — Anne NATALIE: Peter will continue to attempt to break through into Olivia and Walter's universe. Sadly, since Walter doesn't remember Peter, he'll desperately try to prevent this from happening, Plus: There's a special surprise return this week that will further the idea that, over here or over there, we're not in Kansas anymore.
(Has anyone seen any casting notes that shed light on this one?)

It's that kind of thing that really sets Fringe apart from other shows, moreso even than the acting or the sci-fi themes. Don't you think? What other show delves so openly into those waters?

And that, plus "I'm not doing this very well, but I'm not going to stop." could be the two basic human existence themes!
