| Interesting. Peter's bookseller friend (the guy who got them the ZFT manuscript) will be in this episode. I wonder if it has anything to do with the casting call for Alfred, since that whole ZFT/David Jones plotline *was* Germany-oriented. This may very well be "Jacksonville", the Olivia-Cortexiphan centric episode.

| Oh, I like that character! And the actor was grand.
It would make sense, as ZFT were either behind the manuscript & plans to alter children to suit their purposes (very Mengele, btw), or they came after and made it their religion/politics, for ZFT to be connected to the J-ville trials. Good to see that part of the plot moving forward. I hope BR makes the ZFT folks less romanticized than they did with DRJ.
Interesting connections with their ideas of apocalypse and those espoused by Ted Kaczinksi & others (the ZFT manifesto being based on the idea, what if walter wrote Ted's kind of manifesto).
Derek Jensen has a cult of freakily loyal followers, and he and they look happily forward to the destruction of civilization; I run into folks occasionally who are into that, as he used to live around here. ------and he has huge 'daddy issues', so that fits into Abrams' storylines. | |
