[quote="Elliot"]LOL at Lez.
I think his health problems (if there are any) are maybe that the cure is expected to no longer work?
And I don't think he is a Firster, that would be too annoying for words, to have him not human. But then I go on and on here about hating superheroes and superpowers, so I will let it go at this: I prefer humans, normal humans. And prophecies make me laugh: fate, destiny, prophecy, all hilarious to me. I grew up too science minded to take anything like that seriously. And thank goodness, Fringe is NOT 'LOST'. And the more prophecy stuff we get (sorry Jade) the funnier, the more pathetic, I find it. Coffee-coming-out-my-nose funny/bad hail Mary pass pathetic.
And, thankfully, they have managed so far to stay on the science side of things when they show what they are up to with something. The shapshifters aren't spirit warriors or ghosts, they are organo-mechanic hybrids, for example. And the cortexiphan treatments heightened abilities, they did not make gods out of the test subjects.
So------- I think that perhaps Walternate tinkered with Peter's DNA, or switched him at birth or something? I don't think maybe Walter's stealing him was his first abduction. He's quite the lost umbrella, is Peter.

well I have to admit that I love the prophecy.....and I like the storyline this season. But till now all the things about the prophecy are involve with science, every thing has an scientific explanation the genetic ...the machine. And I agree that I want that way.The producers are aware of that, so they are giving hints about a lot of questions.....milo etc What I want to say is that fringe is related to science and this is not going to change in something different. love fringe!!

I'm hoping that they give Peter a real storyline, the way Olivia has been fleshed out, and Walter... and not that he ends up an appendage of the Firsters, or an appendage of The Machine. I like how the Observers (to at least a degree) represent the observer necessary for alternate reality to exist; and look forward to how the writers turn the prophecy into something scientific-related, not just woo.
-------------and I would really like to know what is up with the forumotion software, that causes it to remove spaces between words? It used to do it a bit, now it does it all the time, increasingly. When I drop in quotes, and spell-check to add back spaces it takes out, the next thing I know it has taken out other spaceslike this or likethis. Very aggravating. Makes it hard to read and comprehend, and English is my language.

Yeah! Maybe that old paper isn't the only one. Maybe there are other similar papers about the instructions of Peter's creation. Hummmmm...

Elliot, it's the one he did a while back. The shoot they mentioned in the interview, where Josh had to be later, was the one where Peter, Walter and Broyles are walking around with pictures of Olivia in their hands. (We got some really good photos, from that outdoor shoot).
He looked like he was literally asleep in that interview. Fringe does some incredibly late shoots into the small hours of the morning sometimes. I've seen 3 o'clock in the morning finishing times, a couple of times mentioned by extras. The hours they work each day, are amazing. Josh said he had worked 14 hours the day before in the interview, but in other interviews I'v heard of up to 19 hours, the actors can work in one day. Wow.
ETA: I hope also that Peter finally has a storyline.
ETA: Thanks Lezario for fixing my problem.

We don't have a thread yet for ep. 10, but isn't that the one with Christopher Lloyd? Here's a bit more about it:
Quote :
Christopher Lloyd on Fringe True! Back to the Future‘s Doc Brown has been cast as a musical hero of Walter’s who’s been in a nursing home and becomes the subject of a Fringe investigation. “Christopher plays Roscoe Joyce, a keyboardist for Walter’s favorite 1970′s band Violet Sedan Chair,” explains exec producer J.H. Wyman. Fellow EP Jeff Pinkner adds, “The lives of these two men, who have never met before, overlap in strange and unexpected ways.”

Yeap ! The link to Nigel Horsley's gallery (the one with these observers pics).
And They're filming Fringe across the street. The fake lights make the neighborhood ALL WEIRD.

I think observers maybe are worried about peter and the machine. I hope we can learn more things about the observers!!!

Maybe they're worried about the wrong use of the machine. But now that Peter isn't in walternate's hands the problem shouldn't exist. For them peter is important and they know that peter firstly needs to know his real identity so he will able to use the machine correctly.

I watched Northwest Passage again last night--and thought about this.
I do not believe Peter's identity is the machine, or even the guy who runs the machine. That may be a skill/ability of his, and while that might be ONE reason he is important to the Observers, it might not be the only one, and it certainly is not at all the reason he is important to Walter or Olivia.
Since BR say this is a family drama dressed up to be science fiction, I firmly believe his person, what he does, and his relationships with Walter and Olivia, are what are important about Peter, and not some machine or prophecy.
Doesn’t mean I don’t think it’s important, just I do not believe it is the only thing.
We love Walter not because he is a genius inventor, but because he loves deeply and totally.
Same with Olivia: we love her because she gives herself wholly to caring for others, she is the embodiment of integrity and bravery, and risks herself again and again for those she loves.
Peter we have loved because he put away his anger at Walter (twice now!) and allowed himself to forgive, and to love; because he set aside his con artist ways and looked after Olivia, and fell in love with her; because after all his crooked ways, he cares about people too and is trying to be a good man. That’s what’s important about Peter.

I agree with you. There is something else about Peter that we don't know yet. He is not important just for the machine.
One of the things I love the most about the show are the relationships between the characters.
