| Peter's birthday is around August :
Charlie (well, the Shapeshifter) was killed Oct 4th (written on the grave, in 2x05). That mean that the day she killed him, in 2x04, it was Oct. 4th. In this episode, she tells Broyles that it was "6 weeks ago" (that she was attacked by the Shapeshifter).
And Peter' birthday was the same she came back trough the windshield.
So Peter's birthday is mid August..... And this episode is called August ?
Seriously ? I bet my Fringe socks it's going to be a Peter childhood episode. | |

| That would be fantastic. And I saw somewhere this: - Quote :
- Speaking of the abduction, which appears to have been the case based on Peter's dream, we may have been given a date. The matter has certainly been on Walter's mind of late, but close to the end of the episode, a date is scrawled on a blackboard: June 28th, 1984. What is the significance of that date? Peter Prime's gravestone gave a year of death of 1985, so there could be a connection. Could Alt-Peter have been abducted before Peter Prime died?

| Me, neither. And maybe it's the date Walter first found a way through, and saw Peter? What was the date of Peter's cortexiphan trial positive, from that list? --oh, and that reminds me of another thing from the dvds... in Bad Dreams, when they are talking how cortexiphan allows travel by perception, - Spoiler:
they have Peter react (his directions are "someone is walking over your grave" (do you have that idiom in French, Lez?)-------that he knows somehow this applies to him too.

| But you get the idiom, right?
It is good for me to actually think about what things mean, how to explain what is behind the words...makes me think more clearly. I like that exercise, thank you. | |

| So, nobody thinks crashing the car through the ice at Thanksgiving with Peter apparently dead in the back seat, Walter waking up with The Observer standing over them, is going to 'come back to haunt us'? No lies have been told, says Leader Pinkner. I'll concede the "August" title certainly indicates the show will be be Peter-centric. | |

| I'm still not convinced that scene was the kidnapping scene. Maybe it was--but maybe it was the Observer rescuing them not so long after he'd stolen Peter---because Peter is necessary for the sake of the universes, which seem to be really what the Observer is protecting. | |

| Maybe not the kidnapping scene, but calling at your house, where your wife is waiting for you because it's Thanksgiving night, and telling her Peter almost died... Woah. "You know what I found worse that the cold ?" "What ?" "Not much" | |

| I think one reason I'd like it to be two separate incidents is so that Peter's past isn't wrapped up all neatly in one miminal box. They spent a whole season, or most of it, on Olivia, I'd like to see his character really get developed now that they are promising that.
And because of other things said in that episode (The Arrival) it seems to me the stuff relating to Peter there (including the deleted scene) refer to Peter's part in the Pattern, and not just his kidnapping (which makes him just an object of Walter's obsession). Alternate universes, stealing things because it's the right thing to do, rescue by the Observer, communication and knowlege without words..... big enough to be important as more than a "simple" kidnapping. | |

| I'm still orbiting that 'our' Peter was abducted before Peter Prime (I like that! Not as morbid as dead peter or vague as original Peter.)
BBuuuuuuut, I'd still go back to the Reiden Lake scene where Walter approaches Peter, his face in full shadow where he says, "Something was lost to me, Peter, something very precious. And I thought somehow, if I could reach across and take back that which I had lost...."
Anyway, I'm butchering the script, but I believe Walter's Peter died before Walter had the audacity to steal another man's son. | |

| I agree. That was a powerful scene, and I'd hate to have it diluted. Also--I like the idea that Peter was stolen not only out of grief (selfish interest) but also because "it was the right thing to do"-- at least as far as Walter believed, the way Bell's experiments were supposedly for good.
So the date could refer to a different thing. | |

"ça m'a fait froid dans le dos" would be the equivalent of sending shivers down one's spine but not the uncanny feeling why
in english it was originally - Spoiler:

| No, since the two aren't occupying the same space at the same time. Remember that while Fringe and BR use science to make their story work, they also discard it at will when it doesn't. There was a quote on that I found and posted over there, I wonder if I can retrieve that? Also-- - Quote :

| Aha! The goose thing is not part of the original expression, so it is not definitive. Other forms include a black dog, or other creature. The earliest usage is from Medieval times, when it wasn't so odd to think that someone stepping where your future grave would be, could affect you now.
Someone is walking over my grave
---and the goose bumps goose flesh is a back formation from the Appalachian usage of goose for someone in the phrase---they also use rabbit, maybe one of Anyanka's reasons for fear of bunnies in Buffy? | |
