After viewing this episode again tonight, I have a couple of additions/changes to what we discussed before..
1) Peter was trying to take care of Olivia and she arguing she didn't need it--very nicely done, them becoming partners in fact, and friends, in a non-heavy handed way... he's earning her trust ("non-cheatingly")
2) he noticed the danger from not-Charlie... because not only was it danger, but perhaps because of where not-Charlie was from?
3) the sshifters are mechano-human hybrids... um, Fox and the WB's rather gloss over that, don't they?
4) it looks like the bodies of mercury bleeding people plus that device from last episode was enough to satisfy Congress about FD---Peter gets everything he has requistioned (though they are waiting on the cargo plane....wonder what Peter wants it for....(any mention of planes in spoilers for the rest of the season?)
5) The whole sam the bowling man thing still bugs me... we're supposed to accept Olivia goes along with what he tells her to do, none of it rational scientific cop type stuff, but she can't even talk to Peter about losing Charlie, or why her hand shakes? FAIL.
6) speaking of her hand shaking, so does that of the doorkeeper to the alter-hotel, alter-temple, whatever that place is...
7)what are the niches behind the typewriter for, I wonder? And where do those side halls (where the light comes from) go? What is the graffiti on the wall?
Walter "the grave of a boy who is not in his grave"
9) and... Walter telling Olivia he didn't know what he'd have done, if she had been dead... when he saw her body.... was he maybe referring to seeing Peter dead, as well? He had that same shifty look as in #8
10) Does Nina Sharp pay for Olivia's health care? Take her to the clinic? Go in the exam room with her? Showing up while Olivia is dressing, and Olivia not being shocked........another FAIL.
11) I loved that the molerat-murderer was done in by the holes he'd dug, and the cop car being undermined..talk about soft spots!
