Wowwww! The calendar!!

I know!! Exciting--finally some solid things about what is going on... do you think this relates to the machine, or is a parallel thing?

There has to be a connection! We have the name "Gemini", a calendar, the observers with the names of months of year, very ancient messages that could come from first people! And first people know very old techs!!

Oh, and what if the sun in the middle of the calendar was Peter?

Peter has often been associated to the sun

(This makes me think of the look on Peter's face when he is helping Walter attact the electrodes to the dead guy's head in 'In Which We Meet Mr. Jones' (before he remembers being shocked)-------curious, intimate, interested, warm. Peter is quite liking what they do.)

Yeah, that scene. Peter looks quite blissful. You just know he is meant to follow in his father's footsteps and be a mad scientist with Walter.

Does that calendar ring any bells with anyone? "Period of darkness", "dark meets light"???

I have no idea.... it seems its "the callendar of....." maybe first people?? I think this is the episode where they are going to introduce first people.and Markham gives the callendar to Peter!!!! maybe the calendar its some kind of profecy .....about what is going to happen. I hope the episode give us some answers.

I hope too! What if that calendar was alchemic? Hummm....
Those "period of darkness", "dark meets light" and so on reminds me what the producers said about Peter's dark journey this season (he needs to see the dark before finding the happyness), or what Mathis told Peter in "northwest passage" with the "find the crack" on the pen, always about dark and light.

the calendar...looks like maya calendar or an astral calendar. Do you remember the poster fror this season?? the glas cealing... peter in the middle ....maybe a hint about the calendar??

I thought too it might be Mayan, or lunar, and googled my fingers off and found nothing close at all... sigh. It looks divided into days, months, two-month sections... but those inner numbers are something else. I'll upload pics (they're thumbnails) so everybody can chime in:

To me it could be Mayan.


White = refinement
Red = initiation
Yellow = completion
Black = transformation



Or it could be Lunar, indeed, with "light meets dark" and the terminator.

Yeah, I thought about the terminator, but that's an edge, not an equal quadrant.

The Mayan thing looks closer, from the colored thumbnail (the full images won't load for me, so I am guessing.)

Where did you find the Mayan images? And the color key? I would like to read more, read the supporting materials.

Even though I don't believe the long count has anything to do with the end of the world (you live around enough cranks who were hysterical approaching the year 2000 (the Y2K debacle), you get cranky about doomsayers )-------but MesoAmerican history I find interesting---if relentlessly bloody.

If peter is in the middle of che calendar in the next epiode, like the maya's calendar, it means that peter is the sun or a sort of god!

I googled a bit, and found a promising image (which I am uploading in the other window!) which seems like it might be where they drew the black and white calendar from: the Tonalpohualli calendar:


and a streamlining of the quadrants, linked with colors:

And, oh, my, there is a lot of goofiness associated with that stuff now! Velikovsky, him I knew about, but...... well, wow, claiming that the Aztec calendar links Noah and the Nahua...that Enoch appeared in central America..... wow. Anyway......
