Even when you worked as a cameraman, you still forget, when you watch the show, that sometimes you have to be in weird positions to film......



I recently find out that a friend from high school became a professional make up artist.
I'm glad she finally found her way. Too bad she's not working on the set of Fringe !

That was wild, wasn't it? I had thought maybe they had rigged a little crane for the camera, on the gurney.

I remember once at the theater during a ballet, having to do quick changes for a dancer when her dresser went missing (I was flying scenery)--she came off stage, threw her clothes off and demanded that I dress her, so I did, and she got back on stage and made her cue. The guy next to me on the fly rail was astounded, seeing her suddenly naked and needing dressing and gone *poof* in about a minute. He hadn't worked a ballet before... but signed up for all of them after that

Wild like making a long travelling by sitting in a wheelchair with the camera and someone is pushing you.

When I was a kid, my brother and I would get hold of my parents' 8mm camera and make stop-action movies on it and not say anything--then when they'd finish filming and have it developed, there were these mini movies in between holiday scenes.

I did the same but with pictures.

Because my parents loved that we were always making and investigating things, doing projects and inventions, they would leave whatever mysterious objects and contraptions where they found them, until they had a chance to ask what we were doing with them. So of course after a while sometimes we'd just put random things together to see if they looked like projects and would have the same protected status.
