What is "coven" ?

Oh boy, I can't wait to get home to see the new trailer.

I once had a poster covered with all the different English words that mean "Group" of things.

Coven to me has always been witches, or warlocks, a clandestine group who meets secretly. Other 'groups' are like, A murder of crows. A gaggle of geese. A pack of wolves. A convoy of trucks. (I need to get a copy of that poster, some of them are pretty strange). You can still say 'group'. It's just cooler if you know the correct word that's come down time. Plenty of English-only speaking people don't know many of them.

It's the venereal term for a group of witches. And that's not fair, is it?
Venereal term = a name for a number of something (a venery is a collective noun). As, a murder of crows or a parliament of owls.
