I'm sorry, my ideas are not always clear

It would be nice to save both universes, but we haven't been given that as an option, yet.

Although The Observers may have a hand in that. They don't appear to be observing for the other side.

And if Peter ever gets to show any paranormal ability, won't THAT be a fun topic!

Don't worry, I don't want Peter to die !

He will show paranormal ability, they have promised it loudly enough and long enough. That is another theme I would like them to finally address.

I get worried that, while they are telling the story I want to see told (including the P/O purple tuxedo event )-------that they have scheduled a 7 year storyline for what might not be 6 years, and some things might get left on the cutting room floor, or slapped together at the end (think what happened to the Gormogon story in Bones because of the writer's strike.)

In the form of the number of times Walter has repeated it to him, and he has said it about himself. "You have no idea what you are capable of." (2, maybe four times). Peter knowing things in every city in the world: "If anyone would know that, it's you."
Peter, to Sumner, if Sumner tried to take custody of Walter away from him, as a danger to himself and others: "Well the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, because you think you know what he is capable of, but you have no idea what I am capable of."

---------I did rather want to see him kick Sumner's a**.

And I can so see Peter using his abilities to protect Olivia and Walter, and --both universes. When he's taking care of his people, he gets the job done. And I think Broyles knows something more about him there, or maybe Nina.... since they had surveillance being done on him before he joined Olivia's team.

Anyway, I totally agree with you about peter's abilities! And yes, Nina surely knows Peter's secret because we also saw her in "Peter"'s promo. Broyles also knows, because he's often in touch with Nina!

i don't think he knows. that would be too easy.

unless they (finally) choose to tie loose ends and go back to explaining the meeting in episode 1x02 when broyles introduces his new team to Nina and a bunch of unidentified people.

She knows there's a Peter 2.0 since she was at 1.0's funeral. And at the lake. And she's Bell's right hand woman.
That plus Walter and other dimensions= a child could figure it out.

Seems the answer was "Yes."

I rewatched the promo, and the weird thing is that the only present people we see at Peter's funeral are walter, walter's wife, carla and nina...and they're all scientists or something like that! Is it only a case? Mmmmm....

My guess is that they were all working together.

We know that Carla was Walter and Bell's lab assistant, Walter spent some time with Nina, and his wife was introduced to him by Bell, who's still communicating with Nina.

And Nina and Broyles seem to know each other way before the Pilot.

So, if there was a "first" Fringe Division Team, what happened to them ?

I was just wondering that yesterday, what became of them. And who they were.

And this being BR and all, I firmly expect some twist as to Peter 1.0/2.0 stuff. I even had a thought looking again at the pilot that the blasted graveyard in her dream might be Peter's grave over there....??

Indeed. And if I remember correctly, there was "He's not dead" written.

I think that might be Peter's role, convincing his two dads to figure it out. Particularly if two dads try and get Peter to choose one universe over the other.

That doesn't mean paranormal ability. Peter's a 190 IQ and a total badass. I'm not saying he won't have them, but I am saying he doesn't need any Fringe skills in order to fulfill your above list.

I think Walternate will realize, -he may be darker, determined...- he's smart enough to understand that his son spent most of his life there, and that he can break off all ties with all the people he knows (Walter, Olivia, his best friend, the weird connections....)

So, he will have to choose, but i hope he won't be forced.

Otherwise, it will look like Star Wars.

Actually, Peter needs some paranormal ability for there to be balance in the characters, so he isn't simply Olivia's lost umbrella. Plus, we have had some indications already that he can do something, we just aren't clear on what.

And I cannot see Joshua Jackson staying with a production where he's merely an appendage, or merely an inter-universe diplomat...... They both need to be amazing, not just amazing Olivia and her nerdly sort of consort with a bad temper and not much to do.
I don't see BR being that thickheaded about that or the SuperGirlSuperOlivia thing forever.

They keep saying Peter's a badass, and they showed it in the pilot, then dropped it .....I think it will be coming back now as he figures out what his past is, and chooses his future.

I agree with you Elliot! I can't wait!

And if he could -even though I don't think it will be possible- keep contact with his "alterreal parents", that'd be nice.

I agree with Blue Sunflower, it's enough for Peter to have a 190 IQ, and be his usual badass self, like the way he deterred the FBI agent with defensive moves at the FBI office in the season pilot, "New Day in Old Town".

But I can also understand Elliot's desire for Peter to be paranormal, too. Guess we'll see what the writers do with that.

I don't think Peter will be able to straddle the two worlds, he won't be able to keep in touch with both parents. I also think Alter Walter will be dark, maybe even evil.
We've seen John Noble use the lower register of his voice, he can be menacing enough in this universe. So Alter Walter may be a little more than we can handle.

There's that theory that all of this is going on because Alter-Walter is trying to reach his son, who has already grown up.
