| I didn't stop between being happy/sad/fine/enraged during the whole episode.
So Altlivia IS pregnant. And it's not Frank's.
DUH. | |

| The overnight numbers are coming in, and not looking good: tvbythenumbers: 9:00 CBS CSI: NY 1.5 5 9.616 FOX FRINGE 1.4 5 3.717 NBC Dateline: NBC 1.3 4 5.441 ABC 20/20 1.2 4 4.922 CW SUPERNATURAL 0.9 3 2.013 9:30 CBS CSI: NY 1.6 5 9.704 NBC Dateline: NBC 1.5 5 5.881 ABC 20/20 1.4 5 5.586 FOX FRINGE 1.4 4 3.695 CW SUPERNATURAL 0.8 3 1.908 - Quote :
- As a pretty diehard “Fringe” fan, I’m pretty disappointed to write those words as well. But after an promising start to its Friday timeslot three weeks ago, two consecutive weeks of sinking ratings for “Fringe” are spelling the beginning of the end for the show. If it continues its current ratings trend, it will join “Human Target” and “Lie to Me” as shows most likely to be cancelled by Fox this season.
Last night “Fringe” drew a 1.4 in the demo, down from last weeks 1.6 and the first two weeks’ 1.9 demo. Fox president Kevin Reilly previously said if “Fringe” delivered 80% of its Thursday ratings it would be renewed; it has now fallen below that level. Friday TV Ratings: Fringe cancelled? Insidetv: - Quote :
- After two weeks of maintaining its Thursday ratings in its new Friday time period, the Fox drama slipped 16 percent last week. Last night, it slipped 13 percent further — to 3.7 million viewers and a 1.4 in the preliminary adult demo.

| Ooo-er, took a look around and the fandom are NOT impressed. Looks like the writers took the show off a cliff last night...and sounds even more soap opera-y than I imagined.
Did you watch it, BW? Fringerfan? Justkickit? Jade? Or were you hiding out like I was?

| Been reading around on other forums this evening, and I have developed some crushes on some folks out there...quoting some snippets. If you're here anonymously, please speak up, and if not, I wish you were. General consensus: "Nooooooooooooo! Where did my show go?" "Die, Fakey, die! and take Walternate with you!"----plus, nobody is really feeling sympathy for Walternate or Fakey (and I love that name for her!). They remember the killings of innocents by Fakey, and Walternate, and their endless lies and deceits. The "bereft father who only kills people and orders live dissection of Olivia to try to get his son back" and "abandoned pregnant woman" plea for sympathy is falling pretty much on deaf ears. Many are also upset as I have been to see Olivia diminished to make room for Fakey and think that she deserves the pain she is finally experiencing. My faves: - Quote :
- Spare me the crocodile tears while confiding in your hot mistress.
- Quote :
- there's an aspect to which it seems like Anna now gets to star in this "virtually a spinoff" where she gets to wear cool clothes and be surrounded by handsome supporting characters who adore her. Meanwhile Peter/Josh's screentime has been much reduced this season. That's another thing difficult to get past.
- Quote :
- I hate this pregnancy story. Just hate it. And not because it seems contrived and distracting but because of what the storyline does to the show's heroine, Olivia.....I love Olivia. I love how she struggles to be a better person. I love how she wants to do the right thing. .....this season she's being belittled and I don't like it. Not one bit.
- Quote :
- For example, I think Fauxlivia is a shallow, callous, arrogant, selfish beeeeatch, but I do care what happens to her. I just hope it's bad.
- Quote :
- I hope when they try to get Peter over to their side, Peter says, sure I'll come over, as soon as Walternate shoots himself.

| So :
+2 : The baby. -10 : The baby being Peter's.
+5 : The case. Reminded me of old Fringe episodes.
+2 : The proposal. +2 : Lincoln. +2 : The jokes between Altlivia and Charlie, about the "bugs" girl.
+2 : Alstrid.
-2 : The mistress....... seriously.
-1 : They did not explain why AltBrandon was still alive. +1 : Lincoln's "I can't keep a secret. Come on, you can tell me, I can keep a secret !"
Total = 3

romad is not the name of walternate's mistress ..her name is reiko and reiko means lovely, grateful child....a coincidence?? aboud the meaning of ROMAD..can be: Radio Operator Maintenance And Driver. Urban dictionary says that ROMAD is a slang term for USAF airmen that were tricked into a job that no one else wanted as well.

| It has meaning to the episode in that someone was tricked into carrying out a mission they wouldn't do if they knew. Walternate tricked fakey into getting preggers so he could drag peter home, no matter that peter really loves olivia. Would not surprise me that he had Newton inject fakey with something that tinkered with her birth control.
Lincoln is quite the smarmy teenager. Frank comes out of this quite well though.

| Not a mission, but a proposal ?
Frank proposed to Altlivia, she said yes, but if he had known the truth about the baby at the beginning of the episode, he wouldn't have asked ? Does that work ?

| Maybe... but since he didn't go through with marrying her, I would say no. If she had married him, and fooled him about the baby, then yes.
Not having seen it, but reading other's reactions, it sounds like she was not so surprised she was pregnant though, so maybe it's Peter that was fooled into the situation, ----------------------yep, that makes more sense to me the more I think of it: he was fooled into sleeping with her, because he wouldn't have otherwise, as he loves Olvia and not her.
And fakey knew she was sent there to "complete the mission" to be a sperm-catcher and heart thief.
And may I say again, how disgusting it is to be having to have these conversations about what was once a smart, funny, well thought out show? That was once above using cheap tricks to manipulate the characters and the audience.

| oooh the anti fauxlivia comments on youtube are really hostile; I love it. I suppose this was all supposed to make the viewers feel sorry for poor abandoned fakelivia, but that's clearly not working, any more than walternate's scruples at testing on children makes up for his sanctioning the deaths of 9 adults in one test alone. It's like we have groups of writers doing different scenes, none of whom have seen the previous two and a half years of the show, or what the other writers in the episode are doing. | |

I still think it's not the best glyphs word they've ever done.

| Hi, Xeen, fringerfan, Lez and Elliot! Oh, my poor "Fringe". I don't even want to think about it being cancelled. Just because I'm mad at the development, I don't want to lose the show, it's my favorite show on television and I live for Friday nights. Okay, so they chose a cruel story for the Benchwarmers. I'll deal with it as I suppose Olivia will deal with it. I don't like AltLiv, but I don't spit vehemence at her, either. ANY girl/woman knows if you have sex, and you have sex for a couple of months with no precautions, you might get pregnant. So I'm wondering if she didn't do it on purpose. Lincoln Lee is in love with AltLiv. Frank feels betrayed because of the math on her pregnancy and she said yes to marrying him. Did she know she was pregnant? Six weeks is barely a missed menstrual cycle. So Frank is probably going to leave AltLiv. Lincoln Lee will take her, pregnancy or no. I'm one who really enjoyed his overprotectiveness for AltLiv. Elliot (Hi, Elliot, again! ) makes fun of Lincoln Lee's voice and pale complexion. I LIKE him, I think something about him is very sexy, so HA! There! C'mon guys! Don't Boycott watching the show! If the show cancels, it will kill the websites. What would we do, sit around and talk about Season 1-3 endlessly? The show needs us to watch it. Lincoln Lee is going to get AltLiv. Peter is going to get Olivia. Peter's offspring might pose some danger because he may be able to initiate The Machine like Peter can. I found Walternate's mistress very interesting. I like her, although I'm not sure if she's a villain, she's very smart. I love to hate AltBrandon as much as I love our Brandon. AltBrandon is about as evil as they come, whereas Brandon is a Sweetie! Ryan McDonald must be having a blast playing both parts. IMDB trivia about him, he was a high school speed walking champion. If I want something easy to watch, I'll change the channel over to "Hawaii 5-0", where Orci and Kurtzman seem to be enjoying a casual viewing audience. Nothing casual about "Fringe". I may hate the pregnancy, but I love "Fringe". They can't end it in a storyline like this, please, Fox! | |
