As long as they're not Romeo and Juliet.
I could even go for Adam and Eve.

... I have opinions about this episode, and some things to point out, but I'm going to wait until other folks have said some things, trying to be polite for once and let others go first.

Weren't you disappointed they didn't show more of that building-climbing scene? The spoilery set shots were exciting and I thought we'd see more of it. Bet that was part of what was cut for the opening scene they shoe-horned in.

I liked the P/O in the episode. It was nice seeing happy Olivia, and the ending caught me off-guard (didn't see any spoilers for this episode). The pace felt a bit slow, though.

I liked the P/O too... sounds like they are living together maybe? That was indistinct... loved them holding hands and grinning at each other...but it felt oddly slow to me too, and like they were alluding too hard to things, or pointing at something they weren't quite ready to point to. Felt odd. I was also disappointed they had Olivia complaining about the backrubs. The writers can't let got of making her whiney...irritates me.
I did love Peter flying up the stairs and launching himself into space to save that kid! Very cool, and done in a very naturalistic way; this they could do a lot more of.

That part was pretty awesome.
There was a lot more they probably could've done in the episode, but just didn't for some reason.

It did feel like they left something out, didn't it? I love seeing Peter and Olivia together, and working together, and while I was gratified to see she barely blinked at his admission about the shapeshifters, I was really disappointed they didn't get to finish that conversation before the posession took over. The timing as a whole felt off in this episode.
And as a solid geek, I have one long-term complaint......... no way in the world is Walter, a brilliant man trying to get his intellect back, going to do a drug that makes you stupid. Just.Not. Especially when there are other recreational drugs he could still play with that even dance around enhancing intellect. I'm sure the emphasis on him as a stoner is to try to pull in the young audience who want to be BAD, but......... please.

I wish I could put my finger on what they could have included, but I can't. I just know that it was missing something.
As for Walter, agreed.

Me, too. I kept thinking something else was going to happen. It had a kind of 'waiting for a shoe to drop' thing about it. Was all of that buildup to the posession? Or something else? I also thought (feared) the emphasis on Peter finally being happy, and the gleaming looks everyone gave them for being happy in love, foreshadowed a kick in the teeth for them...maybe "just" the posession.
It did feel like scenes were missing. I thought the repetition of "father experiments on others to save his son = bad" was a bit overdone, and they threw away the thing at the end where Walter realizes it's the universe coming unstuck, not some miraculous insight on the part of the other scientist.

Creeping in. While I loved the P/O scenes, I just felt that the way they wrote Olivia was just too way over the top. Either that or Anna overplayed it. Who knows, but I thought, for me, it could of been abit more subtle. Maybe it was the lines, they got her to say? I just don't really see her saying some of those lines. Peter was Peter, but a very distracted Peter and I've seen a few comments where people just seemed to miss the whole point of Peter in this episode. "Peter wasn't showing enough emotion in his scenes with Olivia, etc". He was suppose to be distant, because he has the machine on his mind and the fact that he hasn't told Olivia and he should be doing just that.
I think the problem with this episode was that maybe they were trying to cram too many things into the episode this time round? Plus the writers of this episode, are one of the worst ones in my opinion. All of their episodes have been written, like things don't mix.
Really upset that they left Peter's confession to Olivia about his secret to the last minute, just so that they could have it skegway into Olivia being possessed by Bell. I'm like "Really, you spent the whole episode building up to him plucking up the courage to tell her and then you give the reveal 10 secs". I can see how Bell being the creator of the shapeshifters, fits into the scene, but for me it diminished the importance of Peter's reveal to Olivia. For, in that instance, the scene became all about Bell possessing Olivia. Maybe for the writers that was the point of the whole scene.
I don't get what the writers have been trying to do with Peter's character this season. Maybe that's it, there not doing anything really, other than using him to push Olivia's storyarcs all season.
Loved all the scenes with Nina. Glad to see more of her lately. I'm still not sure what her agenda is, because I think she has one. I look forward to seeing more from her further down the track. Agree on them making Walter abit whinny at the moment. It wil be interesting to see how much info we get out of William Bell now that he has possessed Olivia. Or, did they just do that, for the "See what our show can do" thing. I guess next week, we will find out.
