Even altliv couldn't have tied him up, if she'd gotten close enough to do that he'd have tied her up instead.

I think Bell is Bell--and not also future Peter-- but would like to know how he knows that phrase... since it was from after Walter was in the asylum. Now, they were friends, and so he would have visited her after Walter was put away, and maybe he heard that, having coffee with her some evening at their house, but--------why is that important?

And the other thing he says, 'you'll need him by your side'-----what about that? It can't be just because of his dna, you could take skin scrapings or spit and do whatever you needed with the dna. It has to be Peter himself. And since they had it already, or could have taken it when he first arrived--------or Newton could have just taken the DNA when he took Peter--- hmmm.

I do think Bell is concerned the cure is wearing off, and Peter will become sick again.

Oh, Peter and the device----- I think maybe any live Peter could work it, but his true heart ("there has to be a way to save both universes!"--the Olivia/Peter, Peter--our Peter)--------- that makes him the one who MUST run it, because nobody else would either try to find a way or succeed. The better man, the one who takes care of his people.

Not only to save the universes. The machine is named "vacuum" and we know that the vacuum is the origin of the universe. So this machine can create/destroy the universes, but it's only a device that needs its energy to work. And if peter is this energy, it means that he is the one who can create/destroy universes. He is the beginning and the end! Oh my god O_O

To quote a guy we all like, "I'm not sure what you've heard about me, but altering the laws of phyisics is a little above my grade." ----- so I wouldn't go so far as to say HE is the alpha and the omega------- but he plays an important part with these two universes, for certain.

I think the vacuum isn't the origin of the universe, since it was made by the first people to evolve here, (Walter knew and understood something about it by looking at that paper, what else does he remember????)---and modified by Bell? They all agreed that it was designed by Bell over there. He's got some explaining to do. Oops, he's dead.

And since they have been hedging on what exactly it does--- we may yet not quite know what it does.

well if peter is the machine's powersource and the device(as walter said) was for create and destroy....peter is the one with the power to do it. so I agree with jade, but maybe the machine is able to do more things that we don't know yet.

About bell....well we are going to see him again this season...perhaps it will give us some answers about bell and the device design

I wonder whose flashback Bell will be in. Walter's? Nina's? Olivia's? Peter's?

I thought maybe there was an interview where they talked more about the 'quantum entangled telegraph', thought maybe there were more spoilers there about Bell.

I meant that he may have invented/imagined the typewriter system/concept, but didn't built it himself.
