"Quicker with a smile, but less intense."
I'd like to know what Peter meant by that.

Didn't make him think as much.
Heh: Altlivia will go home and think, yeesh, I had to smile all the time at that guy, Olivia must reallly be patient. And the men over there are really dumb.
And Frank will say, hmmm, why are you cranky again? When I left after you got out of the clinic, you were so sweet.

Maybe, in a way, like the difference between Entertainment and Art.

This. (sorry, Lez, I was sure you knew what 'more intense' would mean.) And Olivia surely feels very deeply, she's just trained herself to hide it.
And Peter too really; both were abused. I hope they can both begin to heal soon.

This is the MIT t-shirt Olivia found in the washing machine.
And this is Peter's MIT shirt in Dream Logic.
Although it could just mean they couldn't find the original shirt... these are different. She can burn the one with the red letters, and wear the grey letters one.

either one would remind her......... but she will be getting all new anyway, don't you think Broyles will spot her the money? Walter would want to shop for her, but that would be a terrible mistake

That's not Peter's then. Peter's in that photo that Lezario shows, is long sleeved and darker. Olivia's shirt is shortsleeved and a lighter grey.
I'm confused. Everybody was saying it was Peters, but could the shirt actually be Olivias and this brought it home, how Bolivia was living her life, in her clothes, in her apartment etc, when she saw the dirty laundry. Or did the props people get it really wrong, using the wrong shirts?

It's Peter's, it's inside out maybe-------or even a continuity glitsch. But it's meant to be Peter's. Her shirt wouldn't have sent her over the edge (she knows by then the fake's been wearing her clothes). But seeing that she had set up housekeeping with him--that's the last straw.

I'm sure they will heal, and get together for real, (there has to be more story than them suffering), I just hope that it doesn't drag out too long. I really miss how they worked together in the first season; sometimes I wonder if today's writers have even watched it.

Hi, justkickit! Peter was supposed to have graduated from MIT on his fake resume, but he did go to MIT classes, in "Unleashed" as they searched the SUV they found fast food from a place near MIT and Peter said they make the best fast food burgers. I think it was originally his shirt and AltLiv took it to wearing as her shirts, as girlfriends do sometimes..........Maybe he gave AltLiv a shirt of her own. Good catch with the sleeve difference!

Yeah, whatever the sleeve length, it's MIT. It was a nice scene--well done with her dissolving at that final blow.
I see by spoiler pix that she doesn't run away (at least not yet/not far/not long)--not that we expected her to.... but I hope this is not a protracted 'angst' for focus groups. She has all kinds of reasons to be angry and hurt, but......... give a girl a break! She's had so much, too much to deal with. They need to let up on Olivia. I like Lez' suggestion of the flashback/memory where she sees Peter helping her when they were children, and finds the heart to forgive him.

Hi, Cathy. I thought it was Peter's shirt too when it aired. Well, I assumed because she seemed to break down after seeing it. However, I knew from the episode last season that they had both been wearing MIT shirts in the hotel room scene. From those pictures, the long sleeve shirt Peter was wearing is what threw me. Have we ever seen Peter in a short sleeve MIT shirt? Whatever, I suppose.
I wouldn't expect her to run away. That's not really Olivia's style. She seems very grounded in her work and she is able to use that to escape dealing with things. Peter is totally different. Always a nomad that runs when he has to confront things. So, I wasn't surprised that he would revert back to what has become a natural thing for him to do, to cope.
I hope they don't draw out the angst too long. I'd like the writers to show them both dealing with what happened and show them making roads to reconnect with each other. However, it all depends on how they do it. If she is continually hostile to him over a long period of time, then as an audience we are going to get sick of that. I just don't see them fully reconciling for a long time yet. I don't think that is going to happen until Olivia completes her road to selfdiscovery. I just hope they can make that journey interesting.

I'm hoping they don't draw it out too long, either; it has been so long since our three main characters have done anything but hurt each other, or risk their lives for each other and then get hurt........ it's all so sad now.
And also, hilarious. Not just the overmanipulative bits (the marionette, or the dead garden scene), but the overmanipulative angst. I think this bit from TWOP is funny and spot-on:
Quote :
Olivia asks him if he has anything profound to say, something that might have some personal resonance for her own life. "When I looked into her eyes, it wasn't Amanda. I don't know what I brought back, but I know it ... it wasn't her." Olivia stares at him grimly. You got it, Olivia? This man brought back the woman he loved from the other side, and he could tell just by looking in her eyes that it wasn't the woman he loved.
Now, there are some differences. For example, I'm sure that if Peter had reanimated Olivia's dead body -- after first reinserting donated organs -- he should probably have some idea that it wasn't going to be the exact same person. But other than that IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME.
