Thanks for these, Kreisler. I would never have found either one...well maybe on the Friday jazz program on the radio here, but he gets into a rut and while he plays a lot of Miles, his piano offerings are thin.
--------you could open a jazz thread, you know... I'd love more recommendations.

About the poll, i'll give them a 5, but out of the kindness of one's heart. When i understood the thing about the memory substitute will work, i felt a second that creepy feeling like when they killed ourCharlie. And i really didn't like that.

This morning I remembered the other part of what makes me so queasy with the memory thing... it's all too much like Patty Hearst and Elizabeth Smart, both of whom were imprisoned, abused, and forced to become someone else. Neither of them really ever got well again, the damage is immense and permanent. Hearst managed to make a life afterwards, but...no, she's still broken. And Smart, who was held longer.... I think 'soul destroying' is a term I've read in reference to that.
That Bad Robot chose this as a way to get Olivia to 'self actualize' is repugnant beyond belief.
And that they have the gall to say they think WalterNot is a good man, and that we could be torn and some support the Other Side....... oh, yeah, torture and brainwashing are great, let's have more. /sarcasm.
If BR want to make porn, they should form a different program and use different characters and actors, and go ahead, but leave Fringe out of it.

Yes, in French the words are "chiller". There is no sentimentalism, all the emotion come from the bareness of the situation. The words are very simple and all more impressive.
I grew up with this version, I admit i had hard times translating the song......
I won't even bother screencapping the eastereggs nor interesting moments.
I'm just going to watch Merlin.

Did you peek at the Jane austen fight club thing? It's amusing. I guess there is also 'Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters' or something similar. The woman who made the fight club one is the daughter of Orson Scott Card, if that rings any bells....

I do love Henry! And am looking forward to seeing him again. It would be cool if he really belonged over here too, and went and got Olivia and helped her remember...

If so, he had better be a good man. I am not in the mood for more sabotage. (hey! maybe since the 'twist rusts' clue was over there, FakeOlivia isn't to trust Sam, but Ourlivia can??)

Some sifting through the fancast thing finds some gold (comments mine)
Quote :
As hinted at the close of the Season 3 premiere, an adrenaline rushhas led her to be overcome by the implanted “Bolivia” memories, so nowshe completely believes she is her alternate self.
(She just believes it, she isn't in fact changed!) (I know it might be that we chased BR back over the line from worse to only bad, but I will happily let them pretend they never meant it)
The good news: Once she does reacquire an awareness of who she really is, our Olivia will get a helping hand in her mission to cross back over. YES! Who she really is! “For a little bit, you have [lost original Olivia],” Torvshared when Fancast and six other online outlets visited the Vancouverset of Fox’s ‘Fringe’ this week. “But not for a huge amount of time.”
So we will have the true Olivia back! Not a 2nd Fake Olivia.

Roundup of stills, promos, reviews, screencaps etc of Olivia here:
OK, this is a great pair of paragraphs from a review by someone I often hotly disagree with. Let's just say I'm with the author 1000% on this:
Quote :
No Out-livia? I have a very hard time believing that two supposed geniuses – plus Broyles and Astrid, who are no slouches in that department, could believe that Altlivia is theirOlivia. From the glimpse we saw, I just don’t think Altlivia’s doing a particularly good job at concealing her ruse. Olivia may have been morphing into Altlivia on the other side, but blondie practically has a sticker on her forehead that reads: “Not Olivia, Stupid!“. For someone who unerringly captured Olivia in one word last season, Peter thinks this cheerful beam of light is the “haunted” one that he’s came back for? That’s right Peter, it must be the affect that you have on women. Pfft! I mean, you’re good, but you’re not that good. Hopefully future episodes will give me more reason to buy into Altlivia’s cover but at the moment this is a major contrivance that feels so out of whack with the rest of the story.
The kiss. Look, I have nothing against tongue hockey and I recommend it to everyone as a healthy and rewarding sport, but there was something just too awkward about seeing Peter plant one on Altliv. Maybe it’s because our girl is trapped on the other side, or perhaps it’s because it seemed like they were trying too hard to make a point. I felt that Peter was sticking his tongue down my throat – that’s how in my face it was! And I have a horrible feeling that this was the first of much more canoodling between these two. Maybe when we focus on that side things we will gain more context, but for me it was easily the worst moment of this episode.

10/1 Amy Madigan, oh my gosh what a nice scene. Maybe my paranoia with IMDB"s cast listing was groundless, she's listed simply as Marilyn Dunham in their listings now. Thanks for that clear-up.
Brandon's Altcharacter isn't the lovable, goofy technologist that caught my attention immediately mildly backtalking to Nina. If he's stayed like he is in the alternate universe, the actor might not have a job now. *chuckle*
So, the cab driver. He was just a cabbie, helping someone out of the goodness of his heart, thinking she was all right before going his own way. I think so. The tragedy is that she wasn't okay. But he tried!
But the other members of her team in the Alternate Universe thinks she's AltLiv. Lincoln Lee is an admirable person. AltCharlie's darker, but still seems like a good character.

Well, I finally achieved viewing it !
And I'm torn. In a way, I didn't see time going, and said "already finished" ... but that's also mean it hadn't a real story end... It could be said "to be continued" as well. I was also surprised by the way Peter is acting with Olivia. During the 2 first seasons , we had a very shy way of showing his love for Olivia, even if it was there at the very first sight. And there, he's quite jumping at her mouth... very astonishing I think. And if I am a benchwarmer and very happy they showed their love to each other, I quite miss the notmeaning way of the beginning ... A kiss oh yesss ! but that way.
