I think walternate didn't know bell was from the other side. Bell is a genius, he created massive dynamic over here, so with his knowledge and intelligence he created "things" that could be useful to walternate...like shapeshifters, guns...to get his trust. Walternate didn't find out Bell was from the other side untill he helped olivia and walter escape.

| Could they have captured him ?
After Walter crossed over there he could have been there too, maybe to "keep balance" ? He got captured by soldiers, and they used his name to start things here, like founding ZFT, and else ?

| Him, maybe not, but there are thousands and thousands of parallel universes, so there might be many other Bells, and maybe some of them do not look like the Bell we know.
I'd like -though not too long, just like the deja vu flashes Olivia had in 1.19- to see a different version of Bell, portrayed by a complete different actor.

Walternate didn't find out Bell was from the other side untill he helped olivia and walter escape. I'm sure he knew; he tried to kill Olivia to prevent her meeting Bell, and then to question her to find out what Bell had told her. And they hadn't captured him, he came and went at wlll, so many times he was molecularly unstable. So, way more times than Walter or Olivia or Peter. They've said he is dead, but will be seen in flashbacks only.

| This episode was so cool. They may not have touched, but so much was said and eyes met to help heal the fall's catastrophe with FauxOlivia's snatching Peter. I just had a thought. Didn't Rachel and Olivia tease each other about stealing boyfriends? Or am just making that up.....*puts down the Sherlock Holmes' pipe, stirs the fireplace logs* The next one definitely feels like a "Stand Alone" episode, so I don't expect much enlightenment. If I get some, all the better! Back to sleep. I surely hope I don't start doing middle of the night blogging during the work week. That's just what I need, another bad habit. | |

| Olivia teased Rachel about dating two men at once.... but there wasn't any laughing over her attempt to steal Peter. And I think during that time Rachel was probably removed from #1 on the speed dial. | |

| Interesting. AND. You remember in 2.04, at the end, when saying goodbye to Rebecca, Peter has one of this yellow dots (that go with the glyphs) on the face. Once we said these dots looked like fireflies. >>> Firefly. "Peter caught the firefly." TADAH. | |

| I read a very interesting theory about Peter's duality: - Quote :
- So, regarding Peter's duality...I just came across an old Cherokee legend about the fight between two wolves that are inside each one of us and it seemed totally fitting for Peter:
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.
"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego." He continued, "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

And the name of the website (firstpeople.us) is just a weird coincidence I can't believe! O__O

| Well, the first peoples here were the First Nations, yes. Though only since about 8-14,000 years I think... the glaciers prevented migration down from Siberia before that; but yes, that is a common story here on this side of the water, about everyone's nature. You hear it in church commonly, and also depression is called the black dog.
If you want to read a Native American creature that suits Peter closer--- read about the Trickster/Coyote. Olivia I think reminds me more of the Chickadees, who saved the world.
