| No thank you on Peter sacrifices himself for (a baby). (That's what I've seen this referenced to elsewhere today.) I'm not wanting their intrusion into the P/O story any more.
And though I love the Peter character, and find Josh amazingly gorgeous..... I'm not looking forward to seeing Peter1 return from the dead, either.

| ..here's a couple of questions: --why doesn't Olivia burst into flame at home when she gets smacked around? --the monitors frizzled before she did, the way the monitors frizzled when Peter approached the Machine. Can Peter start fires? --do you think Peter's been attracted all his life to blondes in trouble, since Olivia? That he's always been trying to save her? --I thought this was supposedly the ep where Walter falls in love with Peter, but you don't see much of that, you see him and Elizabeth. --not a question, but ----I sooo love Elizabeth just throwing herself into the water to save her boy --nice touch Peter being a detective even as a small child! (This is the age he says he wants to be a brontosaurus) --anybody else think that the answer to the machine/universes breaking problem will be solved by Olivia and Peter together, imagining a better world? | |

Not necessarily blondes, but women with trust issues..... Erh, yesterday I was thinking about Tess. Michael was beating her. And he then he beat Michael. I think he's always tried to protect women who didn't want to fight back/had trust issues. Not that Olivia can't kick ass, of course she can, but when she was 9, she wouldn't say her stepdad was beating her, probably thinking she was the one who was wrong, and that he would make her mom sad if she'd say anything...

| Yes, I was thinking about him and Tess too; he is more like Olivia than he realizes, I think. He too is always trying to right wrongs and protect people, it's just that his circle of who he tried to protect was smaller than hers. And haunted----that description he gave of her fits him too.
And just because Olivia protects herself now, doesn't mean it's needless for someone else to want to protect and help her too; she could sure have used his help when she was imprisoned by Walternate (that would have been an epic struggle!) (talk about firestarting!), for example.
And too, while she does kick ass---she also needs to know she has someone she can trust and rely on, that she's not alone.
While I think she and Peter will have obstacles (they have said), I think this is the beginning of that foundation for them, that they will have each other to rely on, while they get less and less normal and the worlds do too.

| Ah HA. The book was product placement--- for a film Akiva Goldsman is doing: - Quote :
- Fringe's consulting producer(and writer) Akiva Goldsman will start directing the shooting of a movie form of 'Winter's Tale' in 2012.

| I've just started it, but already I really like the first couple of paragraphs. No gore, no graphic deaths, but the first scene did a fine job setting the tone. Thanks for capturing the review, I'll read any of them! I must go to lunch now, I'll read it when I get back..... | |
